Becoming A Donor

We are frequently asked how to start a scholarship. People usually connect starting a scholarship with a large donation of money. They also ask questions regarding the selection of the recipient. If any of you, as a Crater alumni or a friend of School District #6, are interested in providing a scholarship or a portion of a scholarship, it is very easy to do and is all tax deductible . It can be of any amount, small or large and can be for one year or in perpetuity. As a donor, you, your family or your business can establish guidelines that the selection committee will follow when awarding the scholarship. In some cases the donor may be involved in the selection if they so desire. Again, giving a scholarship or a portion of a scholarship is easy to do and the impact on a young person's life is unbelievable.
